THE PAC, Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center

Constructed in 2001, the PAC is not only a unique component of the Hardin County Schools, it is unique in the nation as one of a handful of Performing Arts Centers designed and operated by theatre professionals but owned by a public school system. As such, the Kentucky Arts Council, the Southern Arts Federation, the National Endowment for the Arts have all rewarded it for its contributions to the students and community of Hardin County. In 2002, The PAC was recognize by the Kennedy Center as one of eleven demonstration sites nationwide as part of their Community Audit for Arts Education. The PAC currently serves over 30,000 students annually over a nine county region.

A Rineyville native, Bart comes to the PAC as part of a successful and varied theatre career of over twenty five years. He holds a BFA in Performing Arts from WKU, has interned at Stage One: Louisville’s Children’s Theatre and has studied with Tim Conway, Tom Poston, James Kirkwood and the National Shakespeare Company among others. He was a guest presenter for the 2003 National Arts Education Partnership and is a member of Actors Equity Association, Kentucky Arts Presenters Network, Arts Kentucky, Association of Performing Arts Presenters, Arts Education Partnership and Rotary International. He was recently recognized as the KMEA 2009 Friend of Music and as a 2009 Hardin County Distinguished Alumni. www.bartlovins.com

Aaron is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre and Spanish. After appearing in numerous college and community productions, Aaron traveled for five years as Tour Manager with the Blue Apple Players of Louisville, Kentucky before coming on board as Technical Director of the PAC in November of 2005. Aaron and his wife Moira live in Elizabethtown with their daughter Harper and their dog, Root Beer. When he has free time, Aaron enjoys acting, traveling, watching horror movies, and video gaming.

Eric Pope

Eric is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Theatre Arts Performance. He has enjoyed touring and performing with many professional regional theatres over the years, such as the award winning Barter Theatre in VA, the Prather Family of Theatres, and the Springer Opera House in GA. Before joining the PAC staff in November of 2008, Eric performed extensively for the Walt Disney company in Orlando as an entertainment cast member. He now lives in Vine Grove with his wonderful wife Nancy.

Diane Hafer

Diane, a Pennsylvania native, moved to Kentucky in 1996 with her husband, Dan and daughters, Jennica, Jaclyn and Julie. Diane attended Penn State University, was blessed to be a "stay at home" mom and for a hobby, drove school bus for 18 years. Being a parent volunteer in Hardin County Schools for years and her love of music and theatre led Diane to volunteer at the PAC where duties included House Manager and Volunteer Coordinator. With encouragement from good friend Nora Sweat, Diane accepted a secretarial position in the PAC office in 2004 and the rest is history...

Ron Grimes, Custodian

Ron Grimes, an Elizabethtown native, worked several years with a local manufacturing company before receiving his degree in Industrial Maintenance in 2005. Ron and his wife of 31 years have two children, and one grandson. In his free time he enjoys working on his Harley-Davidson, and restoring GTOs.
